Storm Water Inlet Marking Program

In 2008, Harris County residents placed more than 13,000 Storm Water Inlet Markers on their storm drains.

The markers are a great way to make us all aware of the fact that our storm drains are not garbage cans. Garbage and debris clog the drains, causing flooding.
Anything and everything (motor oil, antifreeze fertilizers and pesticides) that goes down a storm drain ends up in our bayous lakes and rivers.

Special thanks to Carol Wolk for personally assuring that these vital markers are placed on every storm drain in Mandell Place Neighborhood!
